摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording medium with improved recording characteristics, especially improved jitter performance by setting the average film thickness of a light absorption layer and that of an enhancement layer to specific values each. CONSTITUTION:In an optical information recording medium 10, a light absorption layer 14, an enhancement layer 16, a reflection layer 18, and a protection layer 20 are laminated and formed on one surface of a light transmission substrate 12 in this order. It is provided with a light transmission substrate 12 at one surface side of the light absorption layer 14 containing an organic coloring matter and a reflection layer 18 on the other surface side and then a transparent enhancement layer 16 for the wavelength of laser beam for reproduction between the light transmission substrate 12 and the light absorption layer 14 or between the light absorption layer 14 and the reflection layer 18. Then, the average film thickness of the light absorption layer 14 is set to 100-200nm and that of the enhancement layer 16 is set to 20-140nm. The enhancement layer 16 is formed by synthetic resin, metal oxide, or metal nitride, thus obtaining a writable optical information recording medium 10 which has improved recording characteristics, especially improved jitter performance, and fully satisfies the CD standard.
