PURPOSE:To improve watertightness and waterproofness by arranging a seal fitting ring on the outside of a floating seal mechanism between a machine body side casing and a sprocket side casing and a seal sliding surface ring on the machine body side casing. CONSTITUTION:In a traveling speed reducer to be loaded on an underwater work machine traveling underwater, a floating seal mechanism 6 is interposed in which a pair of O rings 6a is to be retained by a metallic ring 6b between a machine body side casing 8 fixed to a truck frame 13 and a rotatable sprocket side casing 7 to which a traveling crawler is engaged. In this case, a seal fitting ring 2 is bolt-fixed 2d to the end surface of the casing 7 on the outside of a space part 10 on the outside of the seal mechanism 6. A seal member 4a mounted on the seal retaining groove 2a of the seal fitting ring 2 is slidedly contacted with the tapered tilted part 4d of a seal sliding surface ring 3 fitted to the machine body side casing 8 to ensure sealing performance. |
