PURPOSE:To display inputted pictures corresponding to the information of vertical/horizontal by providing a means for adding the information relating to the vertical/horizontal of the pictures to the inputted pictures. CONSTITUTION:An operator selects whether a document to be inputted is vertical or horizontal with naked eyes and the information of vertical or horizontal is inputted by selecting either 'vertical' or 'horizontal' with an icon 3. Thus, for instance, even for the document horizontally inputted to a scanner, by being instructed as 'vertical' by the information of vertical/horizontal, a display means rotates the picture information 2 of the document so as to be vertical regardless of a direction at the time of being inputted by the scanner and displays it at a display. Contrary to a conventional filing device in which the direction at the time of display at a CRT or the like is also decided by the direction at the time of being inputted from the scanner, the direction for the display can be freely specified in this filing device. |
