<p>PURPOSE:To provide a timer-reserved recorder in which abnormal recording due to an operating malfunction such as a power source malfunction, a channel selecting malfunction, etc., of an external channel selector can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:A VTR 40 has a synchronization detection signal detecting means 41. The means 41 detects a synchronizing signal included in a video signal 28, and generates a detection signal 43 for indicating presence/absence of an input of the signal 28 from a result of the detection. The signal 43 is applied to system control means 42, which controls to reserve recording to recording means 22 and a tuner descrambler 12 while monitoring the signal 43. In the case of controlling to reserve recording, when becoming a time immediately before a time coincident with a recording starting time of reserving data 31, a control signal 33 for an operation of the tuner descrambler 12 is repeatedly output until the signal 43 detects the presence of the input of the signal 28.</p> |
