This indicator device with back projection for the motor car includes a reflective plate (2) placed in front of a dashboard (1), the image of which can be reflected, by secondary reflection, onto a projection plate which is installed on top of the dashboard. The reflective plate (2) and the projection plate (3) can be adjusted by a clamping member (5) which is connected to a support framework (6), itself supported by two uprights (7) and fixed to the body of the car. The reflective plate (2) and the projection plate (3) are treated with a layer of special material so that the projecting plate gives a light background. The device makes it possible to avoid accidents by allowing the driver to see the dashboard without having to look down. <IMAGE>
