PURPOSE:To efficiently diagnose faults of a device, a path, etc., and enable early recovery and to decrease maintenance man-hours and preclude misoperation by a maintenance engineer. CONSTITUTION:A report on fault occurrence from the device or communication path is collected as fault information by a fault information collecting part 1 and diagnostic start conditions are previously entered into an object fault information data base 2 as pieces of fault information, their combination, the frequency of occurrence, and generation time; and a fault information decision means 3 decides whether or not the collected fault information is fault information to be diagnosed and a fault frequency decision part 4 decides the frequencies of generation of those pieces of fault information and a fault time decision part 5 decides the generation time of those pieces of fault information and recognizes it by referring to a fault information storage part 7. Then a diagnostic instruction part 6 instructs a diagnostic device 8 to start a diagnosis when the diagnostic start conditions are met. |
