[Class 144 (i)] A tractor wheel having a narrow rim formed by the edge of the wheel-disc a, or of an annulus connected to the hub by spokes, is fitted with ground-engaging, wedge-shaped, cleats c each having a pair of lugs c<1> by which they are bolted to opposite faces of the rim. For travelling on ordinary roads, a two-part band d is fitted between the cleats, as shown in Fig. 1.
