In a plastic container (10) which is to be suitable for transporting and storing liquids containing solvents, such as paints, varnishes or pasty starting materials for curable plastics, a hollow body forming a receiving compartment (12) for the product is formed as a tubular casing (11) which consists of a flexible, thin-walled, limp material and is sealed tightly at its end section facing away from a neck piece (14) of the container by means of a cohesive, flat connection of casing regions arranged opposite one another. This tubular casing can be fixed tightly and releasably on the neck piece (14). Furthermore, a likewise flexible, limp casing (13) is provided, which consists of a film-like material, can likewise be connected tightly and releasably to the neck piece (14), completely surrounds the inner casing (11) on the outside and, together with the latter, bounds a deaeratable intermediate compartment (51) which can receive any product leaking from the inner casing (11) in the event of a leakage of the latter. <IMAGE>
