PURPOSE:To prevent the delay of steering for wheels due to a power steering mechanism by substantially suppressing the steering speed of a steering wheel by installing a response feeling device which provides a variable reaction force for the steering of the steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel 1 is steered during the traveling of a car, the movement is transmitted to a transmission-ratio varying means 9 through the shaft 2 of the steering wheel, and a differential gear mechanism is operated. The steering angle of the steering wheel and the car speed are detected by the sensors 71 and 72, and a controller 70 controls the revolution of a stepping motor for operation-controlling the differential gear mechanism according to the above-described output signals. In this case, a response feeling device 25 having a variable damper 29 is arranged between the steering wheel 1 and the transmission-ratio varying means. The steering speed is substantially suppressed by providing a larger reaction force by the response feeling device 25 as the steering speed of the steering wheel 1 increases. Therefore, the flow- rate of the pressurized oil supplied into a power cylinder 23 can be secured sufficiently. |
