PURPOSE:To provide a jig which does not cause blinding of a cutting-grinding wheel for cutting and machining a substrate material for magnetic heads by constituting the jig material of a ceramic sintered body in which white alumina powder is dispersed. CONSTITUTION:A jig 2 - material for cutting and machining a substrate material 3 for magnetic heads is constituted of a ceramic sintered body in which white alumina powder is dispersed. The ceramic sintered body is expressed as mol- composition by (Fe2O3)x(ZnO)y(MO)z (where M is at least one kind selected from Mg and Ca, x+y+z=100, y=25 to 45, Z=5 to 15, x is the remainder). In this case, the white alumina powder is 5 to 15wt.%. Further, alumina fine powder, the particle size of which is smaller than that of white alumina powder, is added. The alumina fine powder of 0.3 to 1.0wt.% is then added. As a result, a jig 2 which does not cause loading of a cutting-grinding wheel 4 for cutting and machining the substrate material 3 for magnetic heads can be obtained. |
