BLEACH ACCELERATION COMPOSITION, ITS PRODUCTION AND TREATMENT OF PAPER AND PULP USING THE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To minimize the degradation of carbohydrate, save bleaching chemicals or improve the whiteness of bleached pulp by pretreating a pulp with a specific bleach acceleration composition having defibration activity and existing in the cultured product of Trichoderma sp. CONSTITUTION:Pulp is bleached after pretreating with a bleach acceleration composition having defibration activity and existing in the cultured product of Trichoderma sp.sk-1919 (FERM P-11054), etc. The bleach acceleration composition has high defibration activity in spite of low cellulase activity and xylanase activity (for example, the defibration ratio of newspaper is >=50% by the addition of the composition in an amount to give a CM-cellulase activity and a xylanase activity of <=0.5U) and, accordingly, bleaching can be accelerated while suppressing the hydrolysis of the pulp.
