PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording body eliminating a reduction of a recording density caused by a high-energy recording and realizing superior recording gradation and image quality by a method wherein a thermal recording layer of the thermal recording body contains a compound shown by a formula and a bisoxalate. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording body formed by providing a prime coating layer containing a pigment and a binder and a thermal recording layer containing a basic dye and a color developer on a substrate in order, the thermal recording layer contains a compound shown by a formula and a bis (p- methylbenzyl) oxalate. In the formula, R1, R2 separately represent hydrogen atom, methyl group, or methoxy group, and n) represents 1 or 2. As the compound shown by the formula, 1, 2-di (phenoxy) ethane and the like are used. It is presumed that effects are given because a maximum recording density is raised and a gradation range is extended by using the specific substances in combination and, in addition, fogging is normally generated with the use of a thermoplastic substance and a brightness in a non-image part is deteriorated, but such a trouble is not remarkably produced in this invention. |
