PACKAGE FOR EFFERVESCENT DRINK AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING THEREOF

PURPOSE: To provide a beverage package forming a foam layer on the surface on opening the can by providing in a primary chamber connected to an open upper portion a secondary chamber which stores or generates gas above atmospheric pressure and passing a tube through the primary chamber. CONSTITUTION: Container 1 defines a chamber 5, and an empty drum 7 and inserted member 6 having a flange 8 are frictionally engaged with a bottom wall 2. The empty drum 7 defines a secondary chamber 10 and is connected to chamber 5 via a port 11 which is a hole that penetrates a boss 13 on a wall 12. A plastic tube 15, inserted by pressure from the port 11, extends upwards to open an upper end 17 in the chamber 5. A beverage 20 with dissolved gas is injected, and when the chamber is closed with an upper wall 4 a headspace 21 has a pressure greater than atmospheric. When the enclosed gas reaches equilibrium, a secondary headspace 22 with higher pressure than atmospheric is defined in the secondary chamber 10.
