摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the turning circle and improve the steering stability by setting the rear wheels steering angle from the front wheel steering angle and the vehicle speed through the setting of the front wheel steering angle to that of the rear wheel, setting the rear wheel steering angle also from the quantity of state of the vehicle motion, determining the target steering angle at the rear end from both rear wheels steering angle, and prohibiting one of the outputs of the representatively set steering angles of the rear wheels by the vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A first rear wheel steering angle setting means of a microcomputer 45 receives the detected vehicle speed of a vehicle speed sensor 41a and the detected steering angle of a front wheel steering angle sensor 41b. The first rear wheel control steering angle is set from the ratio of the steering angle of the front wheels to that of the rear wheels and the front wheel steering angle. A second rear wheel steering angle setting means sets the second control steering angle of the rear wheels RW1, RW2 from the quantity of state of the vehicle. The target control steering angle of the rear wheels is determined based on these two control steering angles. In this condition, one of the outputs of these two control steering angles is prohibited according to the vehicle speed. That means, the output of the first control steering angle is prohibited when the vehicle speed is over the specified value.
