<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the motion picture reproducing device capable of making random access to an optional frame in video image database utilizing the motion picture coding technology. CONSTITUTION:The motion picture reproducing device storing/reproducing a motion picture coded by utilizing the motion picture coding technology as coded data uses an initial picture storage section 18 to store an optional frame in a storage device 15 as an initial picture when an optional frame of the motion picture coded data is reproduced and uses an initial picture setting section 19 to set the initial picture stored in the storage device 15 to a frame memory 13 in an inter-frame prediction loop, extracts and decodes the motion picture coded data after the frame sequentially from the storage device 15 and the data are displayed (reproduced) on a display device 16.</p> |
