PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of a semiconductor laser by simultaneously holding the light output power of both first and second semiconductor lasers so as to be constant by an auto-power control circuit, unnecessitating positioning, and simplifying the assembly of a device. CONSTITUTION:A laser diode(LD) 54 of a laser module 52 is energized when an LD 11 of a laser module 10 is energized, and a laser beam is emitted. At that time, a monitor diode 56 detects the light output power of the laser beam of the LD 54, outputs it to an I/V amplifier 18 of an APC circuit 30, and the circuit 30 holds the light output power of the LD 54 so as to be constant for each operation. At the same time, energizing amounts are controlled. The performance of the LD 11 is the same as that of the LD 54, and the light output power is almost the same level. The LD 11 is controlled by the diode 56 similarly to the LD 54. Therefore, the positioning can be unnecessitated, and the assembly of the device can be simplified. |
