The infrared stove warms a room by radiant heat generated from a burner with holed burning plate. The apparatus reduces carbon dioxide gas without largely changing the inner strucure, function or type of the conventional infrared stove. The infrared stove comprises a case (12) having a front face with a open hole (12b) and an upper face installed with a exhaust gas passageway; the burnning plate (21) directed toward the open hole of the front face; porous materials attached on the inner part of the exhaust gas passageway. The porous materials, wire mesh or honeycomb type ceramic plate plays a role of increasing passage resistance of the exhaust gas.
