An NH fuse insert (10) has a tubular insulating body (11) on whose end surfaces metallic cover plates (13) are mounted, independently of one another, each having a contact blade (15), and with the interposition of a seal (14) and gripping lugs (20) made of metal. In order to simplify the design and in order to achieve an adequate insulation path between the contact blade (15) and/or the cover plate (13) and the gripping lug (20), cutouts (19) are provided on the flat end surfaces (12), into which cutouts (19) the gripping lugs (20) are inserted and are fastened therein. In this case, it is either possible for the cutouts (19) to be introduced directly into the insulating body, or it is also possible for an additional insulating material part (18) to be provided, which contains the cutout (19). <IMAGE>
