The invention relates to a pump rotor for delivering fluids, comprising two workpieces welded together, specifically a carrier (1) with blades (10) and a cover (2). Both workpieces consist of plastic and have been produced in an injection moulding process. Known pump rotors of this type exhibit poor fabrication accuracy, compared with metal rotors, and cannot be balanced satisfactorily. The object of the invention, to design a pump rotor in such a way that it can be manufactured with thin walls and does not present any alignment problems, while precision is high, is achieved by the walls of the two workpieces (1, 2) being sufficiently thin to replace identical workpieces made of metal and having surface properties analogous to the skin effect of injection-moulded materials. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a pump rotor of this type. <IMAGE> |
