499,014. Incandescent oil lamps. AKTIEBOLAGET B. A. HJORTH & CO. July 8, 1938, No. 20273. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1937. [Class 75 (i)] In an incandescent oil lamp comprising a vaporizing tube 4 projecting from a fuel reservoir 1 and fitted with an axially displaceable needle-rod for cleaning the vapour nipple 10, the burner 6 is carried by a heatconducting plate 7 of considerable thickness attached to the tube 4 so as to allow the lampcap 15, which carries the mixing chamber 13 and U-shaped mixing tube 18, to be removed without disturbing the burner and incandescent mantle. A pipe coil 11 for superheating the vapour is arranged around the burner 6 and is connected to the pipe 4 below and above a throttling restriction. To prevent flickering of the flame in windy weather the air entering through perforations 16 in the cap 15 is caused to pass above or below a cylindrical guard plate 17 before entering the inlet 14 of the mixing chamber 13.
|
