PURPOSE:To execute spot printing of a picture design at a prescribed position of a printed material by executing a rotation of an impression cylinder and a plate cylinder with the same peripheral velocity and by making a printing portion of an impression cylinder contact, in order and with a space of a prescribed number, with a form plate of many pieces of picture designs for a spot printing set on a periphery of the plate cylinder. CONSTITUTION:If a vertical direction length (a pitch) of a printed material 5 is A, kinds number of pictures of a spot printing is B and a width of a vertical direction of a spot picture design is C, a printing length D of one cycle wherein all kinds of pictures designs are put is obtained by D=AXB. From teeth number Z per one inch of a plate cylinder gear, an equivalent teeth number E of the plate cylinder gear is obtained by E=DXZ. Then, the equivalent teeth number E is decomposed into prime factors and a periphery length F of a plurality of the plate cylinders is obtained by a multiplication between a pitch of a gear of the plate cylinder and a value obtained from executing a multiplication in order between a prime factor obtained from a prime factor decomposition of an equivalent teeth number and a number B of a picture design for a spot printing. A peripheral length of the plate cylinder which is larger than a total length L=BXC and is nearest to it is adopted and a form plate for a spot printing is arranged at every pitch obtaind from a division of the peripheral length by a number B of the picture design. |
