PURPOSE:To creat an alloy, which has a traditional high hardness, and additionally has a tenacity, as a result of the compound action of an alloy component and a surface treatment. CONSTITUTION:A title alloy consists of 15 to 50 percent of either of titanium Ti and zirconium Zr or of composition of them, not less than 7 percent and not more than 30 percent of tangsten W, and a balancing percent of either of niobium Nb and tantalum Ta or of composition of them. A nitriding on the alloy is performed to form a case-hardened layer having 2000 or more Vickers hardness. |
