PURPOSE:To improve physical stimulus resistance and chemical resistance in a thermal recording medium of a computer or the like by a method wherein a compound selected from maleic acid, vinyl alcohol, and phosphoric ester, vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate are copolymerized into a copolymer of a specific glass transition temperature, and an anchor layer is formed by adding the copolymer at a prescribed rate. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording layer is constituted by laminating a colored layer 2, an anchor layer 3, a metal thin film layer 4, and a protective layer 4 in order from a base material 1 side on one side of the base material 1. The anchor layer 3 is formed by incoporating a copolymer of 30 deg.C or higher in transition temperature wherein at least one kind selected from maleic acid, vinyl alcohol, and phosphoric ester, vinyl chloride, and vinyl acetate are copolymerized by 20wt.% or over in total solid ratio of the anchor layer 3. Further, it is preferable to set vinyl chloride: vinyl acetate: selected compound =(50-99):(1-40):(0.1-20). |
