PURPOSE:To provide a pretensioner allowing the moving stroke of a buckle to be secured large at the actuated time of a gas generator without leading to the large increase of layout space. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 40 with a wire 36 wound thereon to connect a buckle 18 to a gas generator 46 is supported movably with its shaft 44 put in an elongated hole 42. This pulley 40 can be brought into contact with the contact part 34 of an anchor plate 28 when the buckle 18 moves. Accordingly, when the buckle 18 is pulled in by the actuation of the gas generator 46, the pulley 40 is pressed by the contact part 34 so as to move along the elongated hole 42. This results in increasing the substantial moving stroke of the buckle 18 by the moving part of the pulley 40 in comparison to the existing structure. The moving stroke of the buckle 18 can be thereby secured large without leading to the increase of layout space. |
