PURPOSE:To provide thermal recording paper which is excellent in dot reproducibility of halftone recording and recording sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:In thermal recording paper wherein an under coat containing a pigment and an adhesive, and a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color developing agent are successively provided on substratum, the substratum within a range of 20-70sec. in smoothness (in accordance with JIS P 8119) and 1.0-3.0 in a value in paper thickness of the substratum (in accordance with JIS P 8118) divided by air resistance (in accordance with JIS P 8117) is used. |
