PURPOSE:To improve the strength of a seat belt without interfering with the driver's action, by fitting a shoulder anchor to a door sash and extending the retractable belt to the door side while traveling. CONSTITUTION:When a door 1 is closed, a guide belt 15 is rolled in No.2 retractor 36 and a retractable belt 15 is extended to the rear of the vehicle and along the door 1 being guided in a concave 25. Another retractor 23 also rolls up a wrapping inner belt 19 and pulls a shoulder belt 21 to restrain the driver together with the guide belt 15. When the door is closed, current in a solenoid 43 is cut off and the retractor 36 is locked. But the retractor 23 remains in function and the retractable belt 16 accommodated in the concave 25 does not interfere with the driver. |
