PRODUCTION OF LIGHT SHIELDING FILTER, ITS PRODUCTION, AND PROJECTION LIQUID CRYSTAL PROJECTOR USING THIS FILTER

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a projected picture by resolving the color unevenness and the luminance unevenness which are brought about in the three- color synthesized projected picture in accordance with differences in projection route (optical path length) and light quantity among primary color light beams in a projection liquid crystal projector. CONSTITUTION:Light shielding filter 3 where light shielding patterns 2 having prescribed dot patterns are formed are arranged in optical paths through which three separated primary color light beams reach the liquid crystal panels of respective colors. Distributions of luminance unevenness of R, G, and B color light beams projected from the projection liquid crystal projector are photographed and recorded on color photographic films and a color scanner and a picture processing computer are freely used to set the dot patterns of light shielding filters 3.
