The invention relates to a process for applying adherent particles from melts or solutions of inorganic substances onto the surfaces of high-polymeric materials of natural or synthetic origin. The object of the invention is to provide a process which can be carried out in simple plant and with low energy expenditure. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the organic high polymers are activated by means of a high-power light beam with a light quantum energy spectrum, and inorganic substances containing reactive ion compounds are grafted onto the resultant ionophilic molecular groups of the high polymer, the inorganic substances coming into contact with the activated organic high polymers from solutions or melts.
