The radiator has a natural stone plate (6) warmed by contact with a heating plate (5) which is warmed by an electric heater element (1). The electric heater evaporates a heat transfer fluid and the vapour condenses in vertical heating tubes (4) attached to the heating plate. The heating transfer is via a combination of short and long tubes, providing a closer tube spacing near the bottom section of the heating plate. The natural stone plate is a marble type and the heating plate is metal or concrete, with the heating tubes cast into the concrete in the latter type. The heating plate is attached to the natural stone at one point/edge, with a sliding fit for the remainder. A heat transfer compound between the plates ensures even heating. ADVANTAGE - Even heating over radiator, less risk of thermal damage.
