PURPOSE:To prevent a developer from being scattered to pollute members nearby or from being left unsupplied in a supply container when the developer is supplied. CONSTITUTION:The supply port 11 of the storage container 10 of a storage device 1 is openably covered by an opening/closing cover 20. The feed port 31 of the container main body 30 of a supply container 3 storing a supply developer is openably covered by a driven cover 50 and a film 60. The opening/ closing cover 20 is opened in the direction of arrow K2, the sheet 60 is pulled via an extracting member 61 to open the driven cover 50 in the direction of K2, and the developer in the container main body 30 is supplied to the storage container 10. A lock member 91 and a remainder detecting member 92 are fitted to the lower face of the opening/closing cover 20. When the developer remainder in the storage container 10 is little, the remainder detecting member 92 is lowered, the lock member 91 is pushed up to a release position M2, and the opening of the opening/closing cover 20 is allowed. When the remainder is much, the remainder detecting member 92 is lifted, the lock member 91 is lowered to prohibit the opening, and the developer can not be supplied. |
