A cladding method and means for cladding ducts and especially rolled hollow sections of generally rectangular cross-section. The cladding is provided by sheets of plasterboard 14, 16, 18, 20, or the like wherein first and second sheets of plasterboard 14, 16 are provided with mountings 22 for facilitating the gripping attachment of the sheets on opposite sides of the rolled hollow section 10 thereby enabling the subsequent attachment of third 18 and fourth 20 sheets of plasterboard to the remaining sides of the rolled hollow section 10 to complete the cladding thereof. The mountings may be provided by metal clips attached to the first and second boards at spaced intervals; or by rolled metal sections of the same length as the hollow sections with which they are used. The assembly provides ease of construction and enhanced fire resistance due to the reduction of its heat conduction capability. <IMAGE> |
