<p>PURPOSE:To greatly improve the accuracy of sheet crown and shape control by controlling a width-direction thickness distribution/shape controller so that the load distribution in the width direction between a rolled stock and work rolls that is estimated from the measured load of each divided back-up roll becomes a desired value. CONSTITUTION:At least either one of upper and lower roll assemblies is taken as a mechanism in which the work roll 1 is supported with the divided back-up rolls 2A-3D which are divided in three divisions and more in the axial direction. This method for controlling rolling in a sheet rolling mill in which load detectors 5 are respectively independently arranged on the individual divided back-up rolls 2A-3D and further the width-direction thickness distribution/shape controller for the rolled stock is provided is obtained. This width-direction thickness distribution/shape controller is controlled so that the width-direction load distribution between the rolled stock 13 and the work roll 1 that is estimated from the measured load of each divided back-up roll becomes the desired value. In this way, the sheet crown and shape of a sheet during rolling is detected and controlled without time delay and with high accuracy.</p> |
