PURPOSE:To easily confirm a printable character or mark by a method wherein the code signals of code data are outputted for the purpose of printing in the state corresponding to all of the characters or marks of the code tables selected from a plurality of code tables. CONSTITUTION:A desired code table is selected to start the printing control of the selected code table. At first, sixteen upper figure code marks of the code data of the code table are stored in the line on and after the zeroth line third line in an editing table memory and sixteen lower figure code marks thereof are stored in the line on and after the zeroth line third row in the editing table memory (S 13). The font code data indicated by a code data counter is read (S 16) and, at a time of detection (S 17), the font code data is stored at the storing position indicated by a storing position counter (S 18). When all of the characters or marks contained in the code data of the code table are stored (S 19), an image is developed on an image memory on the basis of a dot pattern (S 27) to be outputted to a laser printing mechanism by the drive signal based on the image memory (S 28). |
