PURPOSE:To discriminate between defective wires and wires forming a wire harness by causing a sensor to detect the portions to be removed of wires supplied from a wire supply portion and then to output a detection signal to a position computing portion. CONSTITUTION:A position computing portion 9, in response to the input of a detection signal from a sensor 8 and according to a count at the detection of a portion to be removed, specifies the portion to be removed when a driving unit 32 stops driving of a wire side length portion 3 so that a cut length input device 1 cuts wire M. A removal range computing portion 10 computes the removal range of the wire including the portion to be removed. A removal range determining portion 10C outputs a removal range signal corresponding to the length of the wire for removal to a discrimination control portion 12. The discrimination control portion 12 discriminates between wires forming a harness and those to be removed according to information derived from the removal range determining portion 10C. Therefore the wires forming a wire harness do not include portions to be removed, such as joints. |
