WATER-BASE HARDENABLE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To provide the subject compsn. which forms a film excellent in both adhesive power and holding power and in adhesion to a lowly polar surface such as of a polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. comprises a water dispersion of resin particles each of which consists of a core made of a self-adhesive resin having a chaintransfer effect and a shell made of a resin formed by the emulsion copolymn. of 0.1-5wt.% carbonylated unsatd. monomer, 60-99.8wt.% 4-12C alkyl acrylate, and 0.1-39.9wt.% other copolymerizable unsatd. monomer and a hydrazine deriv. having at least two hydrazino groups in the molecule. The glass transition point of the resin of the shell is set at -85 to -30 deg.C.
