PURPOSE:To obtain excellent delamination resistance, to decrease unequal thicknesses and to lessen the generation of surface wrinkles (flutes) so that uniform application of photosensitive emulsions is made possible by specifying the refractive index in the thickness direction, the unequal thicknesses and flatness. CONSTITUTION:This film is a biaxially oriented polyethylene(PE)-2,6-naphthalate film. The refractive index (nz) in the thickness direction of the film is >=1.598, the unequal thicknesses are <=5mum in both longitudinal and transverse directions and the flatness is <=250cm/m wide. The PE-2,-6-naphthalate includes not only a PE-2,6-naphthalate homopolymer but also a PE-2,6-naphthalate copolymer denatured with a small portion (for example, <=10mol%, further <=5mol%) of a third component and a blended polymer mixed with a small portion (for example, <=20wt.%, further, <=10wt.%) of a third component. Such PE-2, 6- naphthalate is known and can be produced by the known method. |
