<p>Rescuing system for establishing a towing/rescuing line between a craft in distress without any crew and a rescuing craft, the rescuing system comprising a remote-controlled positioning and launching mechanism for a projectile with a rescuing line/hawser, optionally comprising a forerunner line where the rescuing line/hawser may be picked up by a rescuing craft after an automatic launching from the craft in distress. It is preferred that the rescuing line is made of an aramide material such as Kevlar®* or of UHMWPE-material, combining a large breaking strength with small dimensions of the line. The rescuing line and/or the forerunner line as well as the launching projectile may comprise floating elements. The rescuing line and optionally the forerunner line may be coiled up in a reel-like way on one or more storage drums or may be stored in a coiled fashion below the deck surface in a storage container from which the line may be launched, optionally after the storage container has been elevated automatically above the deck surface.</p> |
