PURPOSE:To obtain a cell having flat discharging characteristic and good storage characteristic, by employing a compound where beta-NiOOH and gamma-NiOOH are mixed with specific ratio as the anode active material for alkali cell. CONSTITUTION:Anode body 1 pressure filled together with a metal ring 3 is provided in the anode can 2 then a cathode body 5 mainly composed of zinc is mounted through a separator 4. Then the opening of anode can 2 is sealed by means of cathode terminal/cover 7 through an insulative packing 6 thus to obtain a nickel-zinc cell. A compound composed of 20-80wt% of beta-NiOOH and the remainder of gamma-NiOOH is employed as the nickel anode body of this cell. |
