<p>A pharmaceutical composition for inducing an immune response against an infectious agent in an animal comprises an antigen against the infectious agent and a mucoadhesive, and optionally an adjuvant, to boost the immune response to the antigen in the animal. Preferably, the antigen is derived from an influenza virus. The pharmaceutical composition is useful in a method of immunizing an animal by oral administration of the composition to the animal.</p> |
