<p>PURPOSE:To improve the plate thickness accuracy by calculating a moving speed of a stock to be worked in the stand outlet side based on the law of conservation of mass and controlling roll rotating speeds in accordance with a difference between the calculated speed value and a detected plate speed in the outlet side. CONSTITUTION:Thickness gages 7a and 7b are set in the inlet and outlet side of a stand 2 respectively and thickness setters 8 and 9, right and left plate speed detectors 6a and 6b, and a memory transferring device 12 are also installed. The thickness setters 8 and 9 set the right and the left target thickness and the gages 7a and 7b input the difference between the target thickness and a measured thickness into the device 12. The mechanism operates moving speeds of a stock 1 in the outlet side based on the law of conservation of mass and controls a speed of a roll stand 2 in accordance with the difference between the calculated plate speed and a detected value by the detector 6b in the outlet side. The plate thickness accuracy is improved because of the plate thickness control through mass comparison per unit time in the outlet and the inlet side of the stand 2.</p> |
