PURPOSE:To provide a compsn. for surface-protective film, which has excellent antistatic properties and mechanical strength and good strippability, containing a vinyl chloride copolymer obtd. by polymerizing vinyl chloride unit with two specified (meth)acrylic acid derivative units. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. for surface-protective film is prepared from a vinyl chloride copolymer having an average degree of polymn. of 200-1,000 obtained by polymerizing 50-96pts.wt. vinyl chloride unit with 1-10pts.wt. (meth)acrylic ester derivative unit having a substd. ammonio group, represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R6 are each H or methyl; R2 and R7 are each a 2-4 C alkyl or alkenyl; X is halogen; n is 1-23), 3-40pts.wt. (meth)acrylic acid polyalkylene oxide ester unit of formula II and optionally not more than 10wt% monomer unit such as ethylene in a solvent such as acetone. A soln. obtd. by dissolving said compsn. in an org. solvent is applied to the surface of a film to be protected to form a surface-protective film. |
