PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil, containing an esterification product of a specific nitrogen-containing polyol with a specific fatty acid, having high lubricity, mill cleaning property as well as stability and suitable for metal plastic working, e.g. cold rolling, cutting, grinding, drawing, pressing, etc. CONSTITUTION:The aimed economic lubricating oil, containing an esterification product obtained by esterifying (A) 1mol nitrogen-containing polyol expressed by the formula (X is H or CH3; n is 1-3; R is 2-6C alkyl, phenyl or cyclohexyl), [preferred example; N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-hydroxypropyl)ethy lenediamine] with (B) a >=6C, preferably <=30C fatty acid in an amount of >=2mol on the average, having excellent energy saving, rust preventing proper ties, etc., and hardly putrefiable without problems in roughening of hand skin, toxicity to humans and animals, etc. |
