PURPOSE:To feed a signal to a paper feed part in a side of a copying machine main unit, so that a preliminary feed of the following recording paper can be early interrupted, by early detecting passing of the final document of the documents loaded in an automatic document feeder. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic document feeder for a copying machine, a document rear end detecting means (tray sensor) S6 is provided in a document tray 11 of a document loading part, and rear end passing is detected of the final document Dn on the document tray 11, to transmit this detection signal to a copying machine main unit l, so that paper feed control in a paper feed part of the copying machine main unit 1 is performed. |
