<p>PURPOSE:To provide the apparatus with which an always proper quantity of oxidizing air is discharged from an oxidizing blower and which can reduce electric power consumption. CONSTITUTION:A water draining line 18 of a desulfurizing absorption column 1 is provided with an ORP meter 8 and an air feed line 19 for the oxidizing air is provided with an oxidizing air quantity detector 9. An ORP controller 10 inputted with an output signal 8a of the ORP meter 8 inputs an output control signal 10a to an inverter 13. A flow rate controller 11 which is inputted with this output control signal 10a from the ORP controller 10 and is inputted with the output signal 9a of the oxidizing air quantity detector 9 inputs the output control signal 11a to the inverter 13. The rotating speed of a motor 3a is then controlled by the inverter 13 in compliance with the required quantity of the oxidizing air, by which the output of the motor 3a is fluctuated and the electric power consumption is reduced. Since the number of operating units has been changed heretofore according to load fluctuations, the oxidizing blowers 3 which have heretofore been installed in plural units are reduced to one unit and the initial costs are reduced.</p> |
