PURPOSE:To realize an ink jet recording head sufficiently enhanced in the strength against external force by providing a member protecting a nozzle forming member, reduced in the irregularity of ink emitting characteristics and having high printing quality and high ink emitting reliability. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle protecting member 1 integrally formed so as to be fitted to the outer peripheral surface of a nozzle forming member 5 and a part of the side surface of a head case 5 is fixed to the side surface of the head case 5. Avoiding parts 11 avoiding the attachment of the leg parts 12 of the nozzle protecting member 1 to the case head are provided to the head case 5 on this side of the fixing part of the nozzle protecting member 11 to the case head. When the nozzle protecting member is composed of a conductive material, the nozzle protecting member 1 is electrically earthed from the fixing parts of the leg parts 12 to the side surface of the head case 5. |
