PURPOSE: To provide a door opening closing device with a means to remove slackness of a cable for driving a vehicle slide door to bring the rope into tension. CONSTITUTION: A front cable 74 is mounted on a front cable drive pulley 144 and stretched from the pulley through a roller guide assembly for a front cable and connected to a hinge, mounted on a slide door, and a roller assembly 26. A rear cable 100 is mounted on a rear cable drive pulley 136 and stretched from the pulley through the roller guide assembly for the rear cable, and mounted on a hinge and a roller assembly 26. The front and rear cable drive pulleys are rotated by a motor to move a slide door 14. A cable slack take-up pulley 174 rotatable around an axis paralleling the axis of the pulley is situated in a rear cable drive pulley 136. The end part of the cable is connected to the pulley and through rotation of the cable, a slack is taken up to bring the cable into tension. |
