A system is provided for use with a unit of the type used in stores for displaying/storing products (p). The system comprises an audio circuit (16) having a first memory device for storing information corresponding to a first audio message pertaining to at least one of the products (p), a speaker (18) and a circuit for transmitting the information from the first memory device to the speaker for broadcasting the first audio message. An activation circuit (20) for detecting a person in the vicinity of the unit is connected to the audio circuit (16) for activating the audio circuit (16) for broadcasting the audio message when the activation circuit detects a person (c) nearby. A second memory device stores information corresponding to a second audio message pertaining to at least one of the products (p). |
