PURPOSE:To provide a reversible heat sensitive recording medium which is provided with a heat sensitive recording layer whose clarifying temperature range is extended drastically and moved to a high-temperature side and has high practical use, by a method wherein the heat sensitive recording layer constituted of paints comprised of a resin matrix, specific dicarboxlic acid, specific ester and an organic solvent is provided. CONSTITUTION:In a reversible heat recording medium, a magnetic layer 2, smooth layer 3, metallic vapor decomposition layer 4, heat sensitive recording layer 5 and wear-resistant protective layer 6 are formed on one surface of a base 1 in this order and a printing layer 7 is formed on the heat sensitive recording layer at need. The heat sensitive recording layer 5 is constituted of paints comprised of a resin matrix, dicarboxylic acid represeted by formula I, ester represented by formula II and an organic solvent. Provided that, in the formula I, R is an alkyl group. In the formula II R1 is at least 10C alkyl group. R2 is the alkyl group. |
