<p>PURPOSE:To provide a smoke desulfurization process and apparatus which can easily and cost effectively execute the dust removing treatment and desulfurizing treatment of smoke, small in required area and enable the easy adoption of the existing boiler. CONSTITUTION:An early stage absorbent liquid spraying means 44, an early stage porous packing material bed 46, a later stage absorbent liquid spraying means 48 and a later stage porous packing material bed 50 are successively installed from the front to rear of a waste gas passing chamber 30 in which the waste gases flow horizontally. These spraying means 44, 48 spray the absorbent liquid contg. absorbents forming water-soluble sulfate in the same direction as the flow direction of the waste gases. The absorbent liquid is sprayed to the waste gases and the waste gases and the absorbent liquid are introduced into the early stage porous packing material bed where the cooling and dust removing of the waste gases are executed in the early stage. The absorbent liquid is sprayed on the waste gases past the early stage and the waste gases and the absorbent liquid are introduced into the later stage porous packing material bed where the desulfurization of the waste gases is executed in the later stage.</p> |
