TRANSPARENT INTERFACE BETWEEN A RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND A TELEPHONE SYSTEM

An interface for bidirectionally interconnecting a telephone system and a radio communication system comprises a standby bidirectional signal-propagating two-wire telephone line. This line is compatible with the telephone system and is connected at one end to this telephone system. An adapter circuit comprises amplifiers and scramblers to bidirectionally connect the other end of the bidirectional line to a fixed signal-emitting and receiving station of the radio communication system. The bidirectional telephone line and adapter circuit render transparent both (a) the transmission of signals to be emitted from the telephone system to the signal-emitting and -receiving station and (b) the transmission of received signals from the signalemitting and -receiving station to the telephone system.
